On 10 May 2007, a self realisation program entitled Meditation with Music took place at the KTAR Learning Centre in Wisma MCA. A roomful of participants turned up to experience Sahaja Yoga meditation.
The public started coming as early as 5 pm even though the program officially starts at 6.30 pm. By 6 pm, extra chairs were carried in for the later participants. Both Yogis and participants mingled around while having refreshments.
The program started with a warm welcome speech by the principal of KTAR followed by the organizer of the program, Manjula (a fellow yogini). After the introductions, Lat took over and introduced Sahaja Yoga in brief to the participants. The talk was lively and entertaining as she made them hang onto her every word. The presentation was done with full clarity and precision.
After the introduction of Sahaja Yoga, Lat started playing on her harmonium and gave them their self realization. Throughout the period, she deftly gave instructions on what to do and when, while playing the harmonium. The melody played was sending out such beautiful vibrations (cool breeze).
When the Meditation with Music was over, many in the crowd felt ‘something’ – cool breeze, warm air, swelling of emotions, shedding of tears, tingling sensations and so much more. The responses from the participants were sensitive and the questions asked intelligent, truly from a group of real seekers.
Finally, the program came to a reluctant end at 8.30 pm. Many stayed behind to ask more questions, a handful signed up for classes immediately and a few wanted the music CDs which Lat played. Unfortunately, there was none recorded but promises were made that some will be produced in the near future.
It was really an evening to be remembered, an evening where some true seekers found peace within and for some seekers, their search ended with the introduction to Sahaja Yoga.
